It is a requirement (as of August 2014) for all Chef/Cooks on board charter yachts with 10 crew or more to have a Ship’s Cook Certificated crew member onboard at all times. This is the result of changes in the law brought about by the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006).

The assessment provides a way for all chefs to have their skills objectively assessed in a controlled environment. The purpose of the assessment is to verify that a candidate can cook correctly and safely across a specified range of techniques and foodstuffs.

This Summer La Belle Classe Academy and Seascope France are giving all 16-22 year-olds the chance to spend up to 2 weeks learning how to drive power boats, jet skis, give First Aid, Fight Fires and survive in a life raft at sea.

This RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling course provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver. It teaches boat handling and seamanship in powerboats and focuses on low-speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed and collision regulations.

This module prepares candidates for their coastal licence with intensive training in groups or individually.

This course has 6 hours of theory and 5 hours of practical in the space of one week.

This course is open to members and non-members, however, the candidate needs to be a Monaco resident to be able to do this course.
