Supervised by a certified instructor, it includes:

– Departure from and return to the dock
– Fundamental nautical knots
– Be at least 16 years old

– Provide:
A medical certificate issued within the last 3 months (issued by a doctor in Monaco)

The theoretical assessment includes:
– A multiple-choice test: 15 questions in 10 minutes
A passing score is required
– An oral assessment (“short oral”) based on practical scenarios
Once both the theory and practical parts are validated by the Department of Maritime Affairs (DAM), the license is issued by the Monegasque maritime authorities.
– The training can be taken in French or English
– The Monegasque coastal license is equivalent to the French license in French territorial waters
– It is recognized in many European countries
Our training courses and packages do not include accommodation. However, we work closely with a number of partner hotels in Monaco and Beausoleil that offer accommodation.
